Session Description: For parents struggling to raise a child, poverty adds extensive stress to the family. During this webinar, we will look at how poverty may affect the ability for parents to be consistent, supportive and nurturing to their children while dealing with the strains of everyday life. You will hear from parents participating in an educational program in Pennsylvania; what their daily struggles are as low-income families and what they need to be more successful. We will also look at resources and how family support workers can support parents as they generate solutions to improve the lives of their families.
